 Oiljang (Street Market)
The so-called five-day market is named because it opens every five days. The market is the ideal place to see everyday life for ordinary Koreans. The marketplace is crowded with traders from everywhere, selling fresh farm produce and marine products all day. This is a five-day market in a village, or oiljang in Korean.
 Tamra Mokseokwon
Tamna Mokseokwon exhibits trees and rocks with certain unique values. It is a private tourist area with exhibits and stories created with trees by naming the displayed objects that befit their characteristics, such as Gosamok(the dead tree) the Jorok tree, or naming them according to the shape of the roots. The Gosamok tree grows on Mt.Hallasan only under 770m above sea level and the wood is solid, which allow people to make it into combs.
Twenty of the exhibited Jorok trees were designated as local cultural assets and 1,000 others are exhibited in various art figures. There are about 500 pieces of rock which have the shapes of human heads. The exhibited and preserved natural rocks have been collected one by one from 1960. In the exhibits, rocks of different types can be seen: which are generally found from the beaches about 4km west or east of the Seoguipo Beophwanri Beach.

 Jeju Stone Park
Jeju Stone Park has been created with stones, soil, trees, iron and water. The main theme consists of the legend about Grandmother Seolmundae who created Jeju Island and the stones of the Five Hundred Generals. With an investment of 185,200,000,000 won on the 1 million pyong(one pyong equals to 3.3m©÷) by 2020, Jeju Sone Park will be formed to be a park where visitors will be able to see and experience the Jeju stone culture and history of the Jeju people.
 Keuneong (Coast Picturesque Place)
With its pristine coastal landscape intact, this place was named "Keuneong" because it resembled a hill of gigantic rocks that was opening its mouth to swallow up the surrounding natural beauty.
Lush grasses cover the entire place. Crashing waves against the oddly-shaped rocks will refresh you. The black lava rocks with cracks like a turtle shell and the crystal-clear sea are a perfect accompaniment to the environment. You can often see a boat cleaving the water. Along with excellent rock fishing, it is also recommended for those who want to find a tranquil resting place.

 Hallim Park
Hallim Park, located western 33km away from Jeju-si and west of Mt. Hallasan along the beach in Hallimeup, is one of the most popular tourist spots on Jeju Island. Hallim Park, almost 100 thousand square meters, has a variety of gardens that can be enjoyed in any season. Visitors can enjoy checking out Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden, Water Garden, Subtropical Botanic Garden and much more.
The most famous tourist sites in Hallim Park are Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world. In addition, a folk village, children's amusement park and outdoor resort facilities make it enjoyable for both children and adults.
 Suweolbong
Many people find that the sunset here is comparable to Sarabong. From the top of Suwallbong, you can see Chagwi Island, Dansan, Jukdo Islet, and even Songak Mountain with a telescope. Suwallbong has a legend about a brother and a sister who were devoted to their parents. The legend has it that Noko and Suwall, brother and sister, were looking for 100 kinds of medical herbs for their sick mother. After rummaging everywhere, they finally found all
of the herbs but one, the root bark of various araliaceous shrubs. They learned that the plant grew on the cliff of Suwallbong. So, Suwall climbed up the cliff and picked the herb.

 Mysterious Road (Dokkaebi Road)
On Mysterious Road (or Bugaboo Road), a parked car on a slight hill road rolls uphill instead of going down hill. This is a result of an optical illusion in which the lower part looks higher because of its surrounding environment.
 5.16 Road's Forest Tunne
Highway 5.16 was the first national road in Jeju which directly linked Jeju City to Seogwipo City, reducing the travel time between the southern and northern parts of the island to less than one hour. Naturally forming a tunnel, a line of trees on each side along the highway stretches for about 1 km just south of Seongpanak. Snow in winter and the brilliant red and yellow leaves in autumn make this drive a mystical experience.
Avoid pulling over at any spot because the passing cars are dangerous. There are two parking lots at the entrance of Seongpanak. Please make sure you park there before taking pictures.
 Sankumburi
Sankumburi provides great scenery as well as the view of the crater. In the fall, eulalia flowers are the attractions.
Sankumburi is a unique secondary volcano which exploded from the bottom and without forming a cone. The peak did not develop. Some 420 plant species grow here. In the north, there are red thorny trees, silver magnolias, and winter strawberries. In the south, there are suh, maple, and wild strawberry bushes.

An old saying has it that the top part of Mount Halla was pulled out one day to become Mt. Sanbang, and the missing part of Mount Halla was turned into the present Paengnoktam.
This mountain is 395 meters high, and it has a lot of strange rocks everywhere. In the middle of this mountain, there is a cave called Sanbang Cave. Yongmeori Beach is in front of this mountain, and there is a rock formation which looks like a dragon trying to get into the sea. At the entrance of Yongmeori, stands the monument to the Hamel Drift.
 Yongmeori Cliff
There is a rocky hill called Yongmeori because it is shaped like the head of a dragon entering the water. It is composed of¡¡layered sandstone and visitors marvel at this uniquely beautiful coastline.

 Yeongsilgiam
Along the Yeongsil hiking trail, strangely-shaped rocks can be found. They line the deep valleys to the tops. The majestic sight of about 500 rock pillars standing high toward thesky is enough to stun beholders. Because the rocks look as if 500 arhats(greak monks who achieved nirvana) are standing, they are sometimes called the "500 arhats".
Legend has it that if a person shouted, the 500 rocks would made a thick fog, keeping the person from distinguishing the direction he or she was walking. In spring, the royal azalea blossoms between the rocks makes a wonderful scenic view and in summer the waterfalls are not to be missed after the rains.
 Witsae Oreum
"Oreum refers to a tiny volcanic zone that contains a volcanic cone, omnipresent at Jeju Island, excluding Paekrokdam at the peak of Hallasan. It is a typical Jeju dialect that indicates an independent volcanic zone, made of ejecta or a parasite volcano. The origin of the word "Oreum" is traced to a noun, made from the verb "mount," and it is thought to imply a small hill or slope that one can easily climb. It takes about 2 hours minutes to climb up this Oreum. You can
see the Paekrokdam and Mara island on the top on sunny day.
A parasite volcano is a small volcanic zone and is widespread around the Hallasan ridges and volcanic piedmont areas, the mountain being located at the heart of Jeju Island.
 Eorimok
Under the plan to provide relief to the summit area of Mt. Halla since July 1994, climbing is permitted up to Witsae Oreum Shelter, 1,700m above sea level. It takes about two hours to reach the peak and the distance is 4.7km. The Yeongsil Trail is available to climb down. Potable water is available at Sajebi Spring and Oreum Spring. The Eorimok Trail starts from the south of Eoseungsangak, Located on 1100 Road (it was so named because the highest point of the road is
1100m above sea level). A ten minute walk from the bus stop will take you to the national park office. After 500m there is Eorimok Valley composed of forests of Japanese oaks.
 Yongmeori Cliff
There is a rocky hill called Yongmeori because it is shaped like the head of a dragon entering the water. It is composed of¡¡layered sandstone and visitors marvel at this uniquely beautiful coastline.
Hamel monument tombstone can be seen on the way to the shore. To recognize Hamel s achievement in Korea and advance friendship between South Korea and Netherlands, it was erected by Korea International Culture Society and Netherlands Embassy to South Korea on April 4th, 1980.
 ATV Joy
Many of the scenes were filmed on an open range located in Seongeup-ri, Pyoseong-myeon, Namjeju-gun. Filmed here were scenes of Janggeum carrying the dying Lady Han on her back and later burying her. This is also where Janggeum is taken by military guards to a place of exile on the island. Other scenes shot here were Janggeum going back to search for Lady Han¡¯s grave, and erecting a tombstone. Visitors can still see the tombstone by registering for the Daejanggeum tour operated by ATV Jeju Joy.
A thrilling experience awaits tour-goers, who will visit the filming locations in an all terrain four-wheeled vehicle. The tour is interesting and beautiful even for those who haven't seen the mini-series.
